“Even though making it through nursing school was hard, receiving this scholarship helped me believe in myself and keep pushing. Whenever I had a hard time, I just kept thinking about how all of these women believed in me, and viewed them as my role models. It means a lot that the scholarship money comes from professional women – that way I don’t feel much like a ‘charity case;’ rather, the way PWFI handled the scholarship made me feel admired and respected. I hope one day I can do the same for others--help people in a way that builds them up!”
